Playing Our Libary of Vintage Games Online - Instructions

This website used a piece of software called a 'Java Applet' to allow users of this website to play our libary of vintage games online. However with the latest version of Java 7 (Update 51), the Java applets will be blocked from running on your computer. This update from Oracle Java was in response to a recent security breach in their product. This can be fixed on your end. Here's what you need to do:

Open a Windows Run box by tapping the Windows key ( ) and the R key.
In the box, copy and paste the following file path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javacpl.exe

Or go to:

Start Menu > All Programs > Java > Configure Java

For Windows 8 Users
Open a Windows Run box and copy/paste this file path:/
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Java
(in this folder open the Shortcut 'Configure Java')

For Mac OS X Users
To launch the Java Control Panel on Mac OS X (10.7.3 and above), go to:
Apple icon > System Preferences > Java icon

Click on the Security tab at the top
Then Edit Site List button
Then Add button
In the empty field under 'Location' enter both of the following to the list (click Add again after entering URL):

Playing Our Libary of Vintage Games Offline - Instructions

1/ First of all you need an emulator, an emulator is a piece of software that simulates the hardware of a vintage games console. You can select an emulator from our emulators section

2/ Secondly you need to select a rom file, a rom file is an image of the original vintage game. You can select a rom by visiting our roms section

3/ Thirdly if the rom or the emulator, come with the extension .zip, you need to you will need an extraction utility, such as WinRAR (Windows), 7-Zip (Windows) or The Unarchiver (Mac) to extract them. Some emulators may need to be installed first.

4/ Finally! Now all you have to do is run your emulators executable file, load your ROM, and begin playing!
